In adults, the dose is usually from 250 do 500 mg what 8 hours or from 500 do 875 mg what 12 hours. In children, the dose is usually from 20 do 40 mg per kilogram of body weight every two or four hours.

Caution! Augmentin nie powinien być stosowany u pacjentów z alergią na amoksycylinę lub inne antybiotyki z grupy cefalosporyn. In patients with hypersensitivity to penicillin or other antibacterial drugs, lekarz może zalecić stosowanie odpowiedników Augmentin.

Dostępne w Polsce preparaty zastępujące Augmentin to m.in. Amoxicillin, Amoksiklav, Klavox, Ospamox, Amciden and other antibacterial medicines containing amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. However, it should be remembered, że stosowanie innych leków przeciwbakteryjnych zamiast Augmentinu wymaga wyraźnego zalecenia lekarza.
